On Friday, a new business enquiry came through where the customers bank had tried unsuccessfully to raise some capital by refinancing the clients machinery. The bank had instructed two (yes two!) separate independent valuers to value the equipment. After waiting for 3 weeks to hear back from the valuers, who incidentally the client had to pay for, the bank informed the customer that they could only offer 5% of what the client had applied for!!!!! A phone call to Nationwide, an approval in 90 minutes, signed documents that afternoon and received the money cleared funds no less than 1hour ago in his account. Simple.
